About This Venue

The Road Theatre Company is the resident theater company at the city-owned historic Lankershim Arts Center, a beautifully restored 1930s streamline building with an art gallery on the first floor. With the help of the City of Los Angeles' Cultural Affairs Department, The Road Theatre Company has enjoyed an amazing twelve-year history. The Road Theatre is a 43-seat theater that produces under the Actor's Equity Association 99-Seat Plan. The company has a mandate to produce original and innovative material, mainly World and West Coast Premieres, as well as classic plays that deal with social and political issues relevant to today's world.
