Synopsis

Liza Hochberg is young, beautiful, sexy, smart (in some areas), creative and Jewish. She works for Lifetime Network, researching contemporary feminist leaders. She's fallen hard for a guy in her writing group.

Sam Besser is that guy. He works part-time producing segments for ESPN. A young, handsome Jewish single, he's got his own brand of distinct appeal. But he's so self-absorbed, he'd sooner watch a game on the tube than notice the ardor of this interesting woman throwing herself at him. He is, in fact, the something-nothing of the title of this play, but you'll have to see the show to get the exact definition of that term.

Luna Allergash (you've gotta love that name) is a lesbian stage manager and is Liza's roommate. Luna burns for Liza, but Liza isn't bi-curious beyond sharing an occasional kiss. This doesn't deter Luna from her pursuit.

All three are 27 years old and live in New York's West Village in this play set in the year 2000 (pointedly before 9/11/2001). The script sports snappy, crackling banter of a pace and wit reminiscent of a 1940s movie. But this comedy for the New Century will spin the romantic action in ways that you won't see coming.
