The Car Plays examines what transpires in vehicles, small and large moments which explore the human condition. In Los Angeles, we constantly break up in cars, make up in cars, live, die and laugh in cars. Fifteen ten-minute pieces, all commissioned of Moving Arts playwrights, will be presented in cars. Carhops will escort audience (individual parties of two or three) to the parked vehicles; each ten-minute play will be performed in or around the car. Confinement, fantasy, isolation, frustration and relaxation are a few themes dissected. Los Angeles' love and necessity for its' automobiles will give theater patrons a voyeuristic view inside many of the characters' lives and moments.
All of the ten-minute plays will be simultaneously performed INSIDE of actual vehicles, either in the front or back seats of multiple automobiles. Audience members will travel from car to car. The fifteen plays will vary from month to month.
PLAYS SUBJECT TO CHANGE EACH MONTH
TICKETS WILL BE ON SALE 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO EACH PERFORMANCE DATE
