Written and directed by Shane Kearns, The Bluemoon Bastard is set in a seedy Lower East Side apartment in New York City. Two friends, Damien and Jason, are desperately trying to make it through a Halloween night that marks the anniversary of Damien's twin brothers' suicides and Jason's ex-girlfriend's tragic death. While Jason heads to the Halloween parade with the hopes of burying his past, Damien gets a surprise visit from his mother, Grace. A sardonic alcoholic with an abusive past, Grace tries with all her heart to gain the forgiveness of her last remaining child, meanwhile fearing that he, too, might kill himself.

As the events of the night unfold, it becomes evident that no one is safe until the Bluemoon passes. Dysfunction, hidden tragedies and unexpected twists and turns are all revealed in this powerful new dramedy.
