Synopsis

South Coast Repertory presents the world premiere of Shipwrecked! An Entertainment -- The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told by Himself). Bart DeLorenzo directs.

A dog, a giant octopus, a pickpocket, a crusty old sea captain and a librarian are just a few of the characters in Margulies' creation, which is inspired by the true story of an unlikely hero who spellbound Victorian England -- and the world -- with his incredible tale. Louis de Rougemont narrates his story as he embarks on a 30-year adventure so inspiring of awe -- according to Louis -- it will make your pupils dilate and your pulse race.
