WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

How can society continue to respond humanely to the constant horrors of war depicted in the media? And what happens to those whose job it is to report them? With Safety, British playwright Chris Thorpe takes on the alienation of modern society as desensitization to acts of violence gradually becomes more prevalent.

Michael is an internationally-renowned war photographer who has spent his career on the front lines. As he prepares for a major retrospective of his work, he reconsiders his roles as a reporter, a husband who's never there, and a father who hesitated when his daughter needed him most.
