Synopsis

Don't miss the show that LA.COM called, "About the most dead-on dose of hilarity to ever be on stage."

Here are more rave reviews:

"So hideously over the top, you can't stop laughing." - LA WEEKLY

"Can only be described as all-encompassing, wet, interactive, loud, extreme, and altogether awesome." - la2day.com

"Point Break LIVE! shamelessly rides the gnarly breakers of travesty until viewers wipe out on the shoals of helpless laughter." - LA TIMES

Point Break LIVE!, the absurdist stage adaptation of the 1992 Keanu Reeves/Patrick Swayze extreme-sports blockbuster, returns to its roots: Los Angeles, "bank robbery capital of the world," where "a lot has changed in the last 20 years - the air got dirty and the sex got clean."

Yes, L.A. is where the action went down in Point Break back in 1992, and it's happening all over again with a new twist.

Point Break LIVE!, the Brechtian blockbuster which garnered a "Seattle P-I Best of Seattle 2004" award, as well as rave reviews across the nation, tells the story of former college football star Johnny Utah -- Keanu Reeves in the film -- who goes in pursuit of the surfing, bankrobbing, skydiving, bare-hand-fighting adrenaline-junkie-cum-Zen-master Bodhi Sattva. The show features armed robbery, big-wave surfing, car chases, explosions, and no less than two extended skydiving sequences.

Best of all, the starring role of Keanu will be selected at random from the audience each night, with the lucky winner reading their entire script off of cue-cards. This method manages to capture the rawness of a Keanu Reeves performance even from those who generally think themselves incapable of acting.

"The worse it gets, the better it gets. Sensationally idiotic." - Seattle P-I Theatre

Sold out in extended runs in Seattle, Minneapolis, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. LIVE THE RIDE!!

Beer is served at venue - You must be 21 or over with proper ID to get in.

Review: In response to the last message by grommet

Hey! Im the Actor that said that to you. Sorry if it offended you. Most old folks that dare to come into our show really get a kick out of that one. Its funny because its about the most G rated joke i do and i do it specifically for my older fans. Its also weird that you said i have long hair...silly monkey my hair was short...dont give credit for my jokes to my cast members...Thats my bit. Also you said i got you with the water gun...but I always work stage left and i remember you were sitting stage right in the back in front of the booths. and why did you say i was whispering? I specifically remember yelling that in your face really loud...i dont know why it seemed quiet to you. And the ultimate irony of the joke is that you look nothing like my high school principal....and my high school principal was not even an asshole...he was rad...one time he could have suspended me for calling this girl a bitch in class, which is also ironic now, but he laughed and said since he cant call his secretary a bitch, no matter how bad he wants to, i cant call girls bitches in school either. But a raunchy play is another story. come to think of it I kind of feel bad that i called my principal an asshole...but i guess it was for comedies sake...unfortunately someone got hurt do to my reckless sense of humor. I would hate for this to discourage other senior citizens from coming. my friends grandma really liked the show...i even wrote Hi Weezyher name on my ass for when i mooned the audience...the mooning is funny right? Once I made some old lady laugh so hard she told me she peed herself...she was also groping me during the show...which was weird, but i was flattered. well sorry again, i feel ive explained myself....if youre still mad hit me up on myspace and ill give you two free tickets to the show...you and a date...this time you can squirt the gun at the audience with us...i want to make sure you have more fun...im in the top friends on Point Break Lives page...my names mitch. Im serious. you were right about he child hood thing...there are issues, but they were not being delt with on stage that night...just having laughs. Peace
