Little Heroes is the latest play from KITE (KidsInteractiveTheatreEnsemble), a unique children's theatre troupe whose members, age 11-15, create the plays they perform. It's "Theatre For Kids By Kids", storytelling on a level at once safe & wholesome for the younger ones and smart, fun & entertaining for mom & dad. KITE uses no sets, very few props -- the kids in the play instead become the sets, props, sound effects etc, inviting the audience's imagination to play along. Little Heroes includes two stories created by the KITE kids: The Tree of the Animals of the Forest, a folktale from Uganda about two young children who use their ingenuity and musical talents to save their village and The Magic Paintbrush, a fairytale in which a boy proves the heart of a true artist can prevail over any adversity.
