WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A witty historical fiction with Shakespeare as its protagonist, Equivocation is set in the early 1600's and focuses on what happens when a member of King James' court attempts to commission a play about the Gunpowder Plot, when Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up parliament.

RE:Magnificent Theater
I saw "Equivocation" in July in Ashland, Oregon, and wanted to see it again it Los Angeles. This is a terrific production, maybe even better than the one in Ashland. I was shocked that roughly a quarter of the audience left during the intermission. I cannot understand why. I would love to hear from anyone who did not like this show. I thought it was the best new play I have seen in years.
