Synopsis

Boundaries are crossed and limits tested by Sharon Lawrence and Nicholas Gonzalez in Dialectics of the Heart, a play of intellectual ideas and forbidden romance by award-winning playwright Dale Griffiths Stamos. Alison Vail Fuller directs.

Set within the academic world of philosophy, Dialectics introduces Professor Elizabeth Drewer, a university professor whose daily life is defined by the rational theories of Plato and Descartes. Enter Richard Amado, a newly arrived, much younger graduate student who embodies the romantic philosophies of Rosseau, turning her ordered life upside down.
