An attractive young graphic artist hurts her leg in a car accident. The accident was the result of the fatal heart attack suffered by her married lover. When confronted with the guilt of her affair and the invasion into her life by her lover's widow, Julia is faced with her own mortality. Does the widow know? Margaret, the widow, arrives on the scene as a dark force: no one in a thriller is ever this nice unless unfolding a devious and evil scheme. The suspense isn't in the outcome, but in the inexorable lead-up to it.
