Based on the playwright's life, Confessions of a Nice Jewish Girl tells of one woman's journey through the decades of her life beginning in the 1960's to present day. Five actresses and a guy spew the truth on love, sex, violence, becoming an actress, and the many addictions one gathers along the way.
RIKKI is a fun-loving teen with no direction in life, so she goes where life leads her, which is usually into trouble. MIMI, 23, doesn't know what to do with her life so she lands on a kibbutz in Israel, finding herself alone, and pregnant. GINGER, 35, has a flourishing real estate career, but she really wants to act, so she moves to L.A. and gets more than she bargained for., MEL, 42, is a two-bit actress with low self-esteem. She puts herself in therapy, and gains enough esteem to meet Mr. Right. And DI, realizes that life's too short to drink bad wine, so she'd better start getting it right. Hard to do when the hormones rage, the sex drive goes, and all that you thought would be turns out different. Lizzie Maxwelll weaves her tragedy with laugh out loud comedy, and you don't have to be Jewish to appreciate it!
