Demián Bichir and Shannon Cochran star in the Geffen's Los Angeles premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan's By the Waters of Babylon, directed by Richard Seyd .
The play follows the friendship which flowers between Arturo (Bichir), a gardener in exile from his native Cuba, and Catherine (Cochran), the widow of a Texas college professor who has been ostracized by her community. Arturo arrives to tend Catherine's neglected garden.
