WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

WORLD PREMIERE A dark comedy that follows the story of WJ Trumbull, a man who wrote "one of the great American novels of the twentieth century" then disappeared into seclusion. The play takes place fifty years later, present day, in Trumbull's home on the eve of game seven of the World Series. A blackout sweeps over the upstate New York area and Trumbull listens to the game on a radio. His evening is suddenly interrupted by Mildred Smith, a young author and Trumbull-obsessed fan who breaks into his home on a desperate mission- to convince him to help her publish her first novel.

What follows is the sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing descent into the murky world of truth, illusion, blood ties and a whirlwind ending that defies all expectations. A mystery worth exploring!
