Two-time Obie winner Mac Wellman transports us to Bow Bridge in Central Park on a lovely summer's day where a motley crew of characters wait, Godot-like, for their destinies to unfold. The lonely characters in the park, listening, interrupting, questioning, and remembering, become more involved with each other, increasingly passionate about everything and nothing at all, from the cosmic to the absurd.
In the background is the ominous presence of the mysterious Boatman of Bow Bridge, slowly plying the waters. When a bad penny shows up, is it enough to ruin not just your day, but the existence of the entire human race? Frédérique Michel directs.
