Vox Human kicks off its fourth full season with this mind-bending masterpiece from Tom Stoppard. Part detective story and part farcical comedy, Arcadia is widely considered to be Mr. Stoppard's best work.

Set in the fictional English country estate of Sidley Park, the play spans two separate time periods: the early nineteenth century and the present day. The central characters in the past are the young lady of the estate, Thomasina Coverly and her Cambridge trained tutor, Septimus Hodge, while the pairing in the present day consists of the popular academic writer, Hannah Jarvis and her budding rival the arrogant university professor, Bernard Nightingale. The main action of the play revolves around all four characters trying to untangle a number of historical knots with the hope of freeing larger historical truths.
