Baldwin, Field, Harris, Parker, Sedgwick, Spacey, Wiest, et al. Receive Golden Globe Nominations for TV

A slew of theater veterans are up for Golden Globe Awards for their work in television. The awards will be presented live on NBC on Sunday, January 11.

This year's male nominees in the acting categories for television include Tony Shalhoub, (Monk), Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Ralph Fiennes (Bernard and Doris), Paul Giamatti (John Adams), Kevin Spacey (Recount), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), and Jeremy Piven (Entourage).

Female acting nominees include Judi Dench (Cranford), Catherine Keener (An American Crime), Laura Linney (John Adams), Shirley MacLaine (Coco Chanel), Susan Sarandon (Bernard and Doris), Sally Field (Brothers and Sisters), Anna Paquin (True Blood), Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer), Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Debra Messing (The Starter Wife), Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), Eileen Atkins (Cranford), and Dianne Wiest (In Treatment).

In addition, ABC's film version of A Raisin in the Sun is nominated for Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television, alongside Bernard and Doris, Cranford, John Adams, and Recount.
