Full casting and creative team information has been announced for the upcoming Cabrillo Music Theatre production of the Neil Sedaka jukebox musical Breaking Up is Hard To Do, to run January 9-18. Troy Magino will choreograph and direct the show with musical direction by Michael Paternostro.
With a book by Erik Jackson and Ben H. Winters, and lyrics by Neil Sedaka, Howard Greenfield, and Cody Philip, this musical takes a trip back to Labor Day weekend in 1960, when two friends from Brooklyn seek romance and good times at a Catskills resort. The cast will feature Eileen Barnett as Esther, Nathan Holland as Harvey, Julie Dixon Jackson as Lois, Jeff Leatherwood as Gabe, Ryan Nearhoff as Del, and Leslie Spencer Smith as Marge.
The design team will include Jonathan Burke (sound design), Andrew Hammer (set design), Debbie Roberts (costume design), and Jean-Yves Tessier (lighting design).
