Cast, Creative Team Set for Civic Light Opera's Fiddler on the Roof

By: Tristan Fuge · Nov 21, 2008  · Los Angeles

Principal casting and creative team information have been announced for the Civic Light Opera production of Fiddler on the Roof, set to run at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center with Jon Engstrom at the helm, December 3-21.

Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of a dairyman named Tevye, an old-fashioned father who has raised his children to uphold the age-old Jewish customs of his ancestors. But as the time arrives to find husbands for his daughters, Tevye discovers that their hearts will no longer be governed by their elders.

The cast will feature Thomas Fiscella as Tevye, Richard Israel as Motel, Carly Nykanen as Tzeitel, Stephen Reynolds as Lazar Wolf, Victoria Strong as Golde, Arlene Thomas as Yente, and Kelby Thwaits as Fyedka. The cast also includes Deidre Haren, Michaelia Leigh, and Jason Webb.

The creative team will feature Dennis Castellano (musical direction), Darrell Clark (lighting design), and John Feinstein (sound design).
