Full casting has been announced for Musical Theatre West 's presentation of Stuart Ross' new adaptation of the Cole Porter musical, Silk Stockings, to run November 7-23 in Long Beach, Califormia.
The show, based on the1939 classic film Ninotchka, centers around a female Communist visiting Paris on an assignment to evaluate three Russian officials who falls in love with a U.S. filmmaker who introduces her to western pleasures like jazz, makeup and silk stockings. The score features classic Porter songs including "All of You," "Stereophonic Sound," "Too Bad," "Paris Loves Lovers," "Silk Stockings," and "Fated to be Mated."
The cast will feature Julie Ann Emery, John Scherer, Darcie Roberts, Andy Taylor, Nick DeGruccio, Paul Kreppel, Stuart Pankin, Victor Hernandez, Rebecca Johnson, Amy Batchelor, Chris Holly, Allison Little, Morgan Matayoshi, Jo Patrick, Daniel Smith, and John Todd.
