Warm-weather treats for family audiences this month include South Coast Repertory's Peter Pan (August 9-17); King O'Leary (August 9-31), a comic adaptation of Shakespeare's tragedy King Lear, part of The Actors' Gang's Summer in the Park series; and the Santa Monica Playhouse production of Summer Dreams, Summer Schemes (August 10).
