Kristin Chenoweth will be honored with the Point Foundation Courage Award at the organization's benefit on Saturday, September 13 at the Jim Henson Studios in Los Angeles. The Point Foundation is the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students. Chenoweth was chosen because of her outspoken support of the community. In addition, Wells Fargo will receive the group's Inspiration Award.

In other news about the star, Chenoweth will host Shakespeare on the Hudson, a documentary about the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's production of Twelfth Night, to run at 8pm on September 18 on WNET in New York and 11pm on September 21 on WLIW in Long Island, New York. Both stations will also show the actual production those same evenings.

Chenoweth won the Tony Award for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and received a nomination for her work in Wicked. She most recently appeared on Broadway in The Apple Tree. She currently stars on the hit ABC series Pushing Daisies, for which she has received an Emmy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy, and her previous series include The West Wing and Kristin.
