Jonathan LaPaglia will headline the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's production of Mike Leigh's 1979 comedy Abigail's Party, to run August 23-October 19. The show will be directed by Julian Holloway.
The play is set in the living room of a British couple who decide to throw a party for the neighbors, with ultimately disastrous consequences. Leigh is best known as the writer and director of such films as Vera Drake, Topsy-Turvey, and Secrets and Lies.
The cast will also include Nikki Glick, Phoebe James, Cerris Morgan-Moyer, and Darren Richardson. LaPaglia is best known for his work on the television series New York Undercover, Seven Days, and The District.
The creative team includes Charles Erven (sets), Katharine Tarkulich (costumes), and Derrick McDaniel (lighting).
