Chad Allen will star in the world premiere of Nick Salamone's Sea Change, to play the Davidson/Valentini Theatre, September 19-October 12. Jon Lawrence Rivera will direct.

The play takes place entirely on a small fishing vessel off the coast of Massachusetts, and chronicles the lives of five college friends -- three gay men and two lesbians -- who set sail on a whale-watching expedition in the summer of '74. The cast will also include Fran de Leon, Clay Storseth, Lisa Tharps, and Ryun Yu.

Allen's recent stage credits include Looped and The Little Dog Laughed. He is best known for his starring role on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and his other TV credits include a series of mysteries in which he plays Donald Strachey, including Third Man Out and On The Other Hand, Death. As previously reported, the openly gay actor will soon appear on three episodes of General Hospital: Night Shift, as Eric, a patient in need of a liver transplant, who develops a relationship with first-year resident Kyle (played by Adam Grimes) while undergoing treatment.
