Principal Cast Announced for Reprise's Once on This Island

Los Angeles' Reprise series has announced principal casting for Once On This Island, with book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty, to run September 2-14 at the Freud Playhouse. The show will be directed by Billy Porter and choreographed by Bradley Rapier, with music direction by Daryl Archibald.

The cast will feature Kristolyn Lloyd as Ti Moune, Ledisi as Asaka, and include Yvette Cason, Brian Chandler, Bryan Terrell Clark, Vanita Harbour, Jesse Nager, Leslie Odom Jr., Lance Roberts, and Nita Whitaker.

Up next will be I Love My Wife, the 1977 musical by librettist Michael Stewart and composer Cy Coleman, December 2-14 at the Brentwood Theatre. The show will be directed by Larry Moss and will star Jason Alexander, Vicki Lewis, and Steven Weber.

The season will continue with Man of La Mancha, at the Freud Playhouse from February 17-March 1, followed by a production of Chess, with a new book written by Richard Maltby, Jr., at the Freud Playhouse, May 5-17.
