The Los Angeles premiere of A. Giovanni Affinito's Agrippina, which will run August 21-September 21 at Hudson Mainstage Theatre, will donate 50% of all proceeds to The Roar Foundation, in support of Shambala -- A Big Cat Sanctuary founded by actress and conservationist Tippi Hedren.

Agrippinatells the story of how Nero's Mother got him into the Emperor's throne and how he repays her for it. The production is directed by Tony Torrisi.

Hedren is best known for her film work, including Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds and Marnie. Her 1981 film Roar, in which she co-starred and co-produced with then-husband Noel Marshall, eventually led her to found The Roar Foundation, which supports The Shambala Preserve whose mission is to educate the public about exotic animals, to advocate for legislation to protect them, and to provide sanctuary for those animals that have been mistreated and neglected.
