The International City Theatre is set to present Terrence McNally's play, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, August 26-September 21, at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Todd Nielsen will direct the show, which will feature Libby West and Thomas Fiscella as the title characters.
The play focuses on an unlikely romance that develops between two middle-aged "losers," a waitress and short-order cook, in a cramped walkup on Manhattan's West Side
The show's original Off-Broadway production starred Kathy Bates and Kenneth Welsh; the film version starred Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino; and the Broadway revival starred Edie Falco and Stanley Tucci.
