Full casting has been announced for YMTA Productions' presentation of the Craig Lucas and Adam Guettel musical The Light in the Piazza, to play the El Portal Forum Theatre, July 10-26. William Ewing will direct.

Based on a novella by Elizabeth Spencer, the musical is set in Florence and Rome in the summer of 1953 and centers on a love story between Clara and a young Italian man, Fabrizio, who she meets when her mother Margaret returns to the site of her bittersweet honeymoon.

The production will star Mary Donnelly Haskell as Margaret Johnson, Stephanie Wall as Clara Johnson, and Blake as Fabrizio Naccarelli. The cast will also include Jonathan Kruger (Signor Naccarelli), Kelly Lester (Signora Naccarelli), Darius Rose (Giuseppe Naccarelli), Christine M. Capsuto (Franca Naccarelli), and Gregory Franklin (Roy Johnson), along with Mark Gamez, Dena Drotar, Carina Morales, Fiona Landers, Eric De Anda, Harrison Meloeny, and Lori Merkle Ford.

The creative team will include Michiko Hill (musical director), Christopher Scott Murillo (set), Libby Jensen (lighting), and Patricia Jennings (costumes).
