The Geffen Playhouse will present Donald Margulies Shipwrecked! An Entertainment -- The Amazing Adventures of Louis De Rougemont (As Told By Himself), June 17-August 3. The production, which will be directed by Bart DeLorenzo, will star Gregory Itzin, Melody Buitu, and Michael Daniel Cassady.

The production replaces the world premiere of Margulies' new work, tentatively titled The Elephant in the Room, which will now be produced in the 2008-2009 season, under the direction of Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan.

Shipwrecked is about a man lost at sea who embarks on an awe-inspiring, 30-year adventure. The production was previously seen at South Coast Rep. Margulies' other plays include Dinner With Friends, Collected Stories, Sight Unseen, and Brooklyn Boy.

Itzin received an Emmy nomination for his role as President Charles Logan on 24. He received a Tony Award nomination for The Kentucky Cycle and his other stage credits include Waiting for Godot, The Birthday Party, Endgame, and Dangerous Corner. He will star this month in the L.A. Theatre Work's' production of Boats on a River.
