Danai Gurira Joins AMC’s The Walking Dead
Actress and playwright Danai Gurira has joined the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead as Michonne, and will be featured in the show’s third season. The series officially concluded its second season on March 18.
Gurira’s many stage credits include Measure for Measure, for which she won Equity’s Callaway Award, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, and POP. Her plays include The Convert and Eclipsed.
Her previous television credits include Treme, Lie to Me, Law & Order, and Life on Mars.
