Stan Chandler, David Engel, Larry Raben, and Darcie Roberts will star in Musical Theatre West's production of Roger Bean's The Andrews Brothers, to run April 18-May 4 at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, California. The production will be directed by Nick DeGruccio, with choreography by Roger Castellano and musical direction by John Glaudini.
The show focuses on three soldiers stationed in the South Pacific during World War II who find themselves giving the performance of their lives when three famous singing sisters fail to show up for their USO gig. The score includes many standards of the 1940s, including "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," and "A Slow Boat to China."
Chandler, Engel, and Raben were all original cast members of the Off-Broadway show Forever Plaid. Roberts starred in the title role of Thoroughly Modern Millie and recently appeared in the Broadway musical Curtains.
