Italian-born opera and pop singer Andrea Bocelli will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, March 2, according to Variety.

Bocelli has recorded over 20 albums in his career; his most recent CD My Christmas, was released in November, 2009. He is well known for "Time to Say Goodbye," a duet with Sarah Brightman.

He performed in the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Most recently, he duetted on the 2010 Grammy Awards with Mary J. Blige on "Bridge Over Troubled Water," which was released as a single to benefit the relief efforts in Haiti.
