Amy Stiller to Star in The Increased Difficulty of Concentration

Amy Stiller will star in Vaclav Havel's The Increased Difficulty of Concentration, at the Lounge Theatre in Los Angeles, February 7-March 28, with an opening set for February 13. Alex Lippard will direct.

Translated by Stephen S. Simek, the comedy is about a sex-crazed sociologist, home nursing a cold, who is visited by a team of government researchers who attempt to analyze his personality using an Artificial Intelligence machine.

The cast will also include Steve Hamill, Kristina Hayes, Eric Normington, Bobby Reed, Scott Rognlien, and Sarah Wolter. The creative team will include Sloe Slawinski (sound), Matt Richter (lighting), Frederica Nascimento (set), and Shon Le Blanc (costumes).

Stiller, who will play Dr. Betty Balthazar, appeared on the long-running televistion series The King of Queens as Gloria, as well as the films Day Trippers, The Cable Guy, and Zoolander. She is the daughter of Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, and sister of actor Ben Stiller.
