This spectacular rags-to-riches musical starring Cathy Rigby celebrates the life of Molly Tobin as she scrambles out of a dirt poor Missouri childhood, marries Colorado miner Leadville Johnny Brown, and strikes it rich?fabulously rich?not once, but twice. However, her ambition to be one of "The Bea-u-ti-ful People of Denver" is derailed when the socialites of Denver snub her. Her resiliency and "I Ain't Down Yet" personality carry her across the Atlantic where she becomes the darling of royalty in Europe. On her return passage, she is booked on the luxurious but fateful Titanic and the rest is history. The headlines in the Denver paper actually read The Unsinkable Mrs. Brown Survives Titanic Disaster, at which point Molly Tobin Brown became Denver's own heroine.
