WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Not seen in Los Angeles for many years and hailed as "a milestone" by Time Magazine, this 35th Anniversary production of the hit Off Broadway play, To Be Young, Gifted and Black celebrates the life and work of award-winning playwright Lorraine Hansberry (A Raisin in the Sun) and features selections from her plays, letters, speeches and journals, punctuated with live gospel singing. Eileen Mack Knight directs.
