WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Bard's comedic revenge fantasia is attacked by a large cast and one of LA's most acclaimed Shakespearean directors.
Considered to be the last play that William Shakespeare wrote by himself, The Tempest is an elegiac fantasy concerning an exiled duke who was banished to a deserted island with her infant daughter. Tapping into the island's magical powers and harnessing a spirit known as Ariel as her slave, Prospero sets about exacting revenge upon her exilers by crashing their airplane on the island by summoning up a massive sea-storm. What follows is a tale which is alternately funny and frightful.
