La Jolla Playhouse continues their tradition of presenting classics with a unique, innovative perspective with The Seven. Greek tragedy meets hip-hop in writer/composer Will Power's modern adaptation of Aeschylus' Seven Against Thebes, the story of a cursed family and a society unsure of how to free itself from war. Power's remix, with urban rhyming verse and diverse musical styles, shines with renewed relevance through the eyes of a new generation.

The Seven is directed by Jo Bonney (A Soldier's Play, Fat Pig), with choreography by Bill T. Jones (Spring Awakening).

Additional Ticket Information

Students, seniors and military receive $3.00 off single tickets for all performances except previews and Saturday evenings. When ordering, you must provide a valid military ID, student ID or proof of age.
