The Biz of the Musical Theatre: a conference for writers

This summer, a three-day conference for musical theatre writers brings together producers, agents, managers, writers, union reps, artistic directors and other theatre artists to address the complex issues of marketing new musicals and the business of musical theatre. The Conference is a combination of panels, schmoozes, and networking events, and is designed to bring writers together with producers, and vice versa. One of the panels is called "Pitch Me: Producers and Executives Who Actually Want You to Email Them." Participants in the conference will also be able to submit their pitch to over 70 artistic directors, producers, and agents across the country who have agreed to receive a mass pitch from the Academy.
