Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities opens its 13th Season with the recent Broadway hit musical Swing!, a slick, sexy array of twirling couples who jump and jive, pays homage to the big band music that reached its height of popularity in World War II, with songs by Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Harry James, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, and many others. The 16 cast members perform 30+ dance numbers including "It Don't Mean a Thing," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "G.I. Jive," "All of Me," "In the Mood," "Cry Me a River" and "Stompin' at the Savoy."
