Co-Founder and Artistic Director Emeritus of Chicago's Piven Theatre Workshop, Joyce Piven directs Suffragette Koans. Through a series of short, sharp, Zen inspired stories, or koans, five turn-of-the-century women explore life's trickier relationships and what was hidden beneath the long skirts of Victorian womanhood. Who says a woman can't leave her virginity at home when she goes out, find God in geometry, or maybe even fly?
