This unintentionally campy movie dates back to 1936, when it was conceived as one of the many "Warning: Danger" movies of that self-righteous era. The danger in this move was the evil "marihuana" weed as an innoncent young girl is led down the road to doom and degradation. At LAC, the film's original dialogue is removed and live performers voice in a new comedy soundtrack. REEFER MADNESS - THE MOVIE opens at the Nuart Theatre (11272 Santa Monica Blvd., West Los Angeles) on Friday, March 30 at 7:30 pm. It then plays at LAC through April.
