Pipeman on the Moon is a story of survival, love, friendship and hope in the face of unimaginable obstacles. When Billy becomes ill and must submit to an extended stay at a hospital, he finds himself roomed with another young patient, Drew, who is also battling a life threatening illness. While Drew offers his friendship to Billy through his love of art and music, Billy resists any offers of kindness and rejects Drew while withdrawing into his own despair. As Drew's mother, who has tirelessly guarded her son, flies to Toronto in a last ditch effort to find a possible cure to save her son's life, the two young men are left to rely on each other and discover that sometimes miracles occur in the most unlikely of places. Casey DeFranco directs.
