Not About Heroes is about the intense and loving friendship of British soldier- poets Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen that grew in the 18 months between June 1917 and November, 1918. It also chronicles the development of Owen during that time, under Sassoon's guidance and encouragement, as the major British poet of the First World
War.
