Hellz Kitchen Ablaze is an absorbing glimpse at urban malaise at its ugliest and most frightening.

After a drug raid in which a team member is shot and killed, a clique of New York narcotics officers rendezvous in an abandoned, graffiti-pocked warehouse in Hell's Kitchen, ostensibly to commiserate about their dead partner. It soon becomes apparent the true purpose of this meeting is to divvy up the hefty loot the officers confiscated during the crackdown. When Detective Freeman is dispatched to retrieve the money and bring it over, a series of suspicions arises among the officers that there might be a betrayer among them, ready to expose their criminal abuse of power.

Racism, paranoia, greed, and other ignoble traits come to the surface among these civil servants who face severe danger each day, as they grapple with the sewer of violence and moral anarchy of the city's mean streets.
