WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Stage and screen celebrities Melanie Chartoff and James Morrison star in this musical tale of yearning, discerning and love - a therapist experiments with a new way to heal artists, while treading the precarious precipice between professional and personal intimacy - words & music by Chartoff, Joseph Clonick and Doug Katsorus, helmed by renowned director Harry Mastrogeorge. A staged reading/singing at Santa Monica Playhouse. Melanie Chartoff is perhaps best known for the diverse roles she's created on ABC's late night comedy, Friday's, The Newhart Show, Ally McBeal, and Touched by an Angel. On Broadway she played opposite Jim Dale in the Young Vic's Scapino and opposite the late Raoul Julia in Via Galactica. In addition to 4 seasons on 24 as Bill Buchanan, James Morrison starred as McQueen on FOX's cult sci-fi classic series Space: Above and Beyond and has guest-starred on countless TV shows such as The Mentalist, Six Feet Under and The West. Harry Mastrogeorge has directed more than 200 productions from New York to Los Angeles. In film, he wrote and directed Richard Burton in The Mystery of the Sacred Shroud, and Danny Devito in Cabbages and Kings, and directed Venus and Mars starring Lynn Redgrave.
