WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Nexus Ensemble Theatre presents two individual performance programs running in repertory at The Santa Monica Playhouse.
Misreadings written by Neena Berber and directed by C.B. Brown. A young woman engages in an extended monologue to her Russian Literature professor, in a futile attempt to avoid a failing grade.
Francis Brick Needs No Introduction written by Jeff Hoffman and directed by Wayne Pere. Four Irish-American brothers meet at the wake of their father. Arguments erupt, as sibling rivalries surface and a portrait of the father emerges in the individual perspectives of the brothers.
Jill written and directed by Bruce McIntosh. In the wake of an emotional breakdown, a sophisticated woman explains a sexual encounter with a horse trainer at the Madison Square Garden Horse Show.
Orgeon written by Peter Hedges and directed by Marty Pistone. A couple driving through Oregon pick up a young hitchhiker and complications ensue.
