WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The popular Southern California professor and performer combines beautiful music, poignant lyrics, and stunning visual elements for an evening full of artistry, poetry, and purpose. Her program features the work of Debussy, Bach, and Beethoven, and the anti-racist anthem, "Strange Fruit," which is famous as a response to the U.S. Constitution's 13th Amendment which outlawed slavery. The program is filled with musical provocations and timely explorations about race and equality in the United States.
