Edgar, Alan, and Poe is a musical fantasy in two acts that allows the great Edgar Alan Poe, himself to weave a tale about a man named Potty, the last know resident of Poe's famous home who had three spoiled pet ravens named Edgar, Alan and Poe. Potty conspires with the spirit of Ben Franklin who is trapped in the enchanted mirror of the grand old house due to his "unfinished business" in life. Before his death, Potty plans a magic spell for his pets who upon his death become human and must forage into the world on their own. When Potty is rejected at heaven's gate for similar "unfinished business", he discovers that his pets have turned to lives of chicanery and deceit, Potty begs Ben to intervene. Maybe an act of kindness will free him from the mirror. Ben agrees and becomes mentor and teacher to three ex ravens, but not without complication and conflict that almost turns the men into common crows!
