Divas Simply Singing! is a magical evening of song and entertainment that will benefit Women Alive Coalition in 2007. This unusual event features a host of the most talented women in the entertainment business united in a benefit concert to continue the courageous battle against HIV/AIDS. In 1990 Sheryl Lee Ralph established the Diva Foundation and created Divas Simply Singing! as a loving memorial to the many friends she had lost to HIV/AIDS. For 17 consecutive years, the DIVA and her friends have come together to raise their voices in song and commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. Each diva performs one song with the sole accompaniment of a concert grand piano. Loretta Devine and Jennifer Holliday are among the artists who will join fellow Dreamgirls star Sheryl Lee Ralph. Other artists who will perform include Natalie Cole, Desiree, Linda Hopkins, Jenifer Lewis, Ann Nesby, RuPaul, Deneice Williams, Norwood Young, and American Idol contestants Lakisha Jones and Paris Bennett.
