Featuring a 35-member cast, Chess boasts some of the most admired choral music in the history of musical theatre as well as the Top 40 hits "One Night in Bangkok" and "I Know Him So Well." This rarely-performed pop-opera from the lyricist of "Jesus Christ Superstar" and one-half of the pop super group ABBA follows the political and romantic machinations that take place at a World Chess Championship between the Soviet and American Champions at the height of Regean-era Cold War tensions.
